Very nice old poker set with clay chips, lockable case, and cards. Recently acquired at an estate sale. The Tiger oak case still locks if you push the top a bit forward while turning the key. The key is actually a small clock key that fits the square post in the lock mechanism. The fact that it will still lock with this type of hook mechanism is amazing for something this old. The whole thing weighs 6 lbs! The old Tiger Oak case is a bit warped from age as shown in pictures. There are some chips missing. There are 48 blue, 47 yellow, 50 white, and 47 red chips. There should 50 of each. There is a chip on a red chip. A chip on a yellow chip, and a red and a yellow chip were broken at one time and glued back together. I believe there are places online where replacements can be found. Some of the old clay chips are a bit faded as is commensurate with clay chips this old. This is a scarce and most likely one of a kind set! If you look at the photos of how the case was made, and how small strips of wood were added to the bottom to fill in the gaps, you can definitely tell it was hand made and not mass produced. Even the holes that were bored into the Chip/ Card holder are a bit uneven. Please look very closely at the pictures for details of the condition before purchasing or making an offer on this item.
