This is a 540-piece set of vintage compression-molded, clay poker chips. You will receive the exact chips shown in the photos. The diamonds and squares mold was owned by Burt Company, the predecessor to Atlantic Standard Molding which is now Classic Poker Chips. These are lighter, older clay chips likely produced by Burt Company, or possibly one of several other companies who distributed these chips as an open mold from the 1940s through the 1960s. Whatever their age and manufacture, these chips are in excellent condition. This is a slightly used set of vintage clay chips. The chips in this set have square edges and good cross hatching. Hot stamps are good on most chips, though the blues are a bit faded. These chips weigh in around 7.1 to 7.5 grams. Their sound is a higher pitched clay sound typical of chips from that era. Practical stacks of 20 chips are stack good but not great, though vintage chips like these often break in very nicely. This is a fully playable set best suited for cash games. The white, blue, and red chips are not denominatedassign whatever values you need. This set shines brightest with 7-8 players but should handle 9-10 players well enough. Chips are generally free from nicks, chipped off clay, spinners, warped chips, etc. But have very slight rounding on their otherwise square edges. Friction between chips is fairbetter than slippery plastic, but not great. Friction between chips is a little bit better than a China clay. Chips have a linen-like feel, are square-edged, and are a little difficult to shuffle. Barrels of 20 push into the middle fine, but not vigorously.
